Once you’ve mastered Magic Loop, it’s time to put this new technique into practice. This cute hat from Tin Can Knits uses DK weight yarn and can be knit in sizes from Newborn to Adult Large.

This quick and easy hat with a little ribbing, garter and stockinette, Barley is an ideal project for a new knitter.

• Yarn: 100 – 240 yards of DK weight yarn, depending upon size
• Needle – US #4 & #6 — 32-40″ circular needle
• Knit Kit:
  • Small pair of scissors
  • Medium sized metal curved-tip tapestry needle
  • Fix-it Tool or size F, G or H crochet hook
  • Stitch Marker
  • Row counter
  • Pen or pencil and paper
