The Sami bracelet underground trend has hit central Ohio! Instructor Anita Miller has traveled to Northern Minnesota to learn the traditional Scandinavian craft which uses reindeer hide, antler, and pewter thread to make the beautiful bracelets that are now seen on Hollywood celebrities.
In this one day class, you will make your own Sami bracelet with the traditional materials from Sweden. Once you have completed the basic class, you will be ready to take the intermediate class and learn more braiding techniques.
Basic experience with needle and thread is necessary. It is recommended that you bring a thimble.
There will be a break for lunch for participants to go out or bring a sack lunch.
