$50 – Pattern provided; supplies extra
Two 2-hour classes
Instructor: Meghan Kizer
Skill Level: Easy Tunisian Crochet
Saturdays, 10am-12pm
Session 1: October 29
Session 2: November 12
A newly released pattern in the Fall 2016 issue of Knotions Magazine, this cowl is a great introduction for someone new to Tunisian crochet. You’ll learn four commonly used Tunisian stitches (simple, purl, full, and honeycomb) as well as how to read Tunisian crochet patterns, pick up stitches, and add buttonholes. It’s best to have a little familiarity with crochet coming in, but anyone can learn this great technique and it’s open to any knitter or crocheter!
Supplies needed:
* Yarn: Approx. 175-185 yards of Worsted Weight yarn (shown in Baah Shasta in Lilac, which is 200 yards)
* Hook: 6mm Tunisian crochet hook with a 24″ cable
* Tapestry needle
* Three 1-inch buttons
* Thread to match/coordinate with your yarn (a small amount is fine, this is just to adjust buttonhole size if you desire)
Please purchase your supplies prior to coming to the first class. There is no pre-work for this class, but there is homework between classes, so please plan accordingly.
