Mondays, 6:00pm – 8:00pm, on:
Class 1: October 21
Class 2: November 11
From the genius of Elizabeth Zimmerman, some say this jacket is essentially a rectangle with shaping. It will not look like a sweater while you’re knitting it, but be assured that it does, indeed, fold up into a jacket! You will learn simple shaping (with increases and decreases), picking up stitches, and sewing seams. Sizing is determined by the yarn and needles chosen.
Supplies needed include:
- Recommended for class: 350 yards of fingering-weight yarn to fit newborn (up to 3 mos).
- US 3 or US 4 needles
- Stitch markers
Sizing options:
Sport-weight yarn, US 3 or US 4 to fit 6 mos-1 year.
DK-weight yarn, US 5 or US 6 to fit toddler (1-2 years).
Worsted-weight yarn, US 7 or US 9 to fit small child (2-4 years).
There is no pre-work for this class, but there is homework between classes, so please plan accordingly.
