Learn to make a classic top down sock in the round using the Magic Loop method. Students must be comfortable knitting and purling. Learn numerous sock techniques including: magic loop, classic heel, left and right leaning decreases, and kitchener stitch. Each of these skills is applicable to many more knitting projects.
Supplies needed include:
- Approx. 400 yards of fingering-weight yarn — Note on choosing yarn: Stitches show up best in a LIGHT-colored yarn
- 32″ circular needle in size US 1 or 2
- tapestry needle.
Please purchase your supplies prior to coming to the first class. There is no pre-work for this class, but there is homework between classes, so please plan accordingly.
