The Sami bracelet underground trend has hit central Ohio! Aritist/painter Anita Miller has traveled to Northern Minnesota to learn this traditional Scandinavian craft which uses reindeer hide, antler, and pewter thread to make the beautiful bracelets that are seen on Hollywood celebrities, and now on the very fashionable wrists of many Knitting Temptations’ staffers and customers!
Also, Knitting Temptations is the only brick-and-mortar US retailer for the traditional supplies needed to make Sami creations!

In this one-day class, you will make your own Sami bracelet with the traditional materials from Sweden. In this class, Anita will teach the basic braid (pictured here) and the bracelet construction techniques – several leather color choices and you make it all by hand! Once you have completed the basic class, you will be ready to take the advanced class and learn more complex braiding techniques.
Basic experience with needle and thread hand sewing is necessary. It is recommended that you bring a thimble.
There will be a break for lunch for participants to go out or bring a sack lunch.
