One 2-hour class
Teacher: Megan Bohlander
Skill level: Easy Knit
This one-skein wonder is a perfect introduction to adding bead work while knitting. Students will learn to apply beads with a crochet hook as they knit this fashionable cowl. Knitters should have knowledge of knitting in the round, cast-on, bind-off, decreases, and yarn over.
Supplies needed include:
- 1 skein of Malabrigo Lace or Silkpaca, 420-470 yards or appropriate lace-weight substitute (gauge: 7 to 8 sts per inch)
- 24″ or 32″ US 8 and US 9 circular needles
- Size 14 steel crochet hook
- Approximately 728 size 8/0 seed beads (note: Knitting Temptations does not stock beads — find them at 1 Stop Bead shop).
There is pre-work for this class that must be completed BEFORE class, so please plan accordingly — prior to class:
PREWORK — Cast on 200 sts with the larger needle. Join for knitting in the round and knit all stitches for one round.
