A Note from Karen
My thanks to all of you for keeping Knitting Temptations such a busy shop! Your enthusiasm is both motivating & inspiring. It is our pleasure to assist you in solving problems and selecting purchases. We love to see your projects in process and completed. Please send us pictures or stop in the shop to share your work.
April is full of interesting skill building classes! In addition, the staff and I are bursting with ideas for our second Annual Summer KAL! We had a great time last year and want to carry this tradition into 2019. Details coming soon!
Most importantly, please mark your calendar for LYS Day on Saturday, April 27. Created by TNNA’s Yarn Group (The National Needlework Association), Local Yarn Store Day is an opportunity to celebrate fiber artists and to show support for small brick-and-mortar yarn shops. This year is the second annual LYS Day. We look forward to seeing you!
Be sure to read all the details below and mark your calendars.

A Note From Karen
As you wrap up your 2018 projects, look forward to our venture into European knitting techniques in 2019. Future classes will include journeys to the British Isles, Lativia, Sweden and other Scandinavian countries.
But, before we “take off” abroad, kick off Super Bowl Sunday by joining us for an Open Knit from 2-5pm on Sunday, February 3.
2019 is shaping up to be an exciting year full of possibilities for our friends!

Tempting Pick! /temptingtidbits/tips-techniques/tempting-pick/ /temptingtidbits/tips-techniques/tempting-pick/#respond Mon, 25 Feb 2013 19:19:10 +0000 /temptingtidbits/?p=1889
Indian Lake Handcrafted Hexagonal Needles
Indian Lake is a small environmentally-responsible company based in Rochester, Michigan, using local supplies and sustainable resources to bring you a unique knitting experience with hexagonal knitting needles.
These hexagonal needles would make a wonderful addition to your needle collection, especially if you suffer from arthritis or carpal tunnel symptoms. The wooden needles are very light weight and designed to facilitate easy knitting. The circular needles are US sizes 3-10.5, in lengths 16″, 24″, 32″, and 40″, and come in three different types of wood: Cherry, Maple, and Walnut. Another feature that sets Indian Lake needles apart from most other needle makers is the option for different needle shaft lengths: 4″, 5″ and 6″. If, for instance, you use their 16″ needle to make a hat, you could get the 4″ needle shaft to help make the knitting easier and more ergonomic.

At around $30, the needles are an investment in your knitting experience. I have 2 sets and love them very much, and think you will, too!
Happy Knitting,
Megan
