Mallaig Socks – Afternoon Session

Inspired by the sweaters worn by fishermen along the British coast in the 19th century, these gansey style socks are knit top down, using DK-weight sock yarn. The beautiful texture features a combination of stitch patterns using just knit and purl stitches.
These quick-knit socks are perfect “boot socks” or to keep your toes comfy on leisurely, lazy days at home. Suitable for both men and women, why not knit a pair or two as holiday gifts?

Class Supplies:
- Yarn: 2 skeins of Evergreen Fiber Works
DK weight yarn — approx 400 yds - Needles: US #4 Double-Point Needles or
US #4 circular needles — 32″ or longer cable for magic loop - Stitch markers
