INTRO TO CROCHET GRANNY SQUARES

Come learn the traditional construction technique for crocheted granny squares. Once you have this basic skill, you can dive into the many “variations on a theme” for granny squares. This is a 2-part class. In week one we will review how to chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and double crochet, and how to read a pattern. In week two we will learn the magic ring/circle method of beginning to crochet in-the-round, traditional structure of a granny square, and methods of connecting the squares once they are made.
Saturday, October 26 & November 9– 10 am – 12 noon

Class fee: $55
Skill level: Advanced Beginner
CLASS SUPPLIES:
- 2 – 4 colors of DK or worsted weight yarn
- Crochet hook in 3.75 mm to 4.5 mm depending on your yarn choice
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Locking stitch markers
