CONTINENTAL KNITTING
August 27 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
KAREN WILKINS, YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Have you ever wanted to learn to knit faster? This method, originated in Germany, uses your left hand to tension your working yarn. Instead of throwing with your right hand, you’ll learn how to create the stitch by picking the yarn with your right-hand needle. We’ll also introduce you to the Norwegian purl–an alternative to the traditional continental purl stitch.
Not only is this method of knitting faster, it’s also easier on your hands–minimal hand movement reduces stress on your wrists and thumbs.
