This class is designed to expand on the knitting fundamentals learned in Beginning Knitting. Successful participants need to be able to execute on their own the knitting fundamentals:
- knit and purl stitches
- long-tail and/or knitted cast on
- standard bind-off
To expand on these fundamentals, you will learn new concepts including gauge, new stitch types, stitch patterns, choosing yarn and needles for projects, basic shaping stitches, and finally, a brief introduction to circular knitting.
Between class sessions, you will work on homework swatches and small items to reinforce concepts learned in class.
We provide the yarn. Students need to bring/purchase 24″ circular needles in sizes US 6 and US 8.
There is no pre-work for this class, but there is homework between classes, so please plan accordingly.
You may register for classes in person or by calling the shop at (614) 734-0618 during regular business hours. We require that you make payment in full when you register.
