Class fee: $75
Join Mandy Root-Thompson on a journey through a Kaleidoscope of Color!
Mandy is presenting a fun and informative 3-hour workshop on color in knitting and crochet projects. Students will gain a better understanding of how to choose excellent color combinations. They will use a color wheel for choosing color schemes, warm and cool colors and neutrals (yes, neutrals are colors, too!).
Color theory may seem complicated and intimidating. However, understanding a few basic concepts will help you select yarns for a variety of color schemes. Don’t plan on sitting for a long lecture! Mandy’s hands-on method of teaching will have you up and around the shop finding your perfect colors. Students will receive a color wheel and booklet with class notes for future reference.
Mandy (a novice crocheter) is a medical illustrator and an instructor at the Columbus College of Art and Design.
Students need to bring at least one pattern requiring 3 or more colors that they want to knit or crochet
