One 2-hour class
Instructor: Meghan Kizer
Skill level: Intermediate Knit
This beautiful, one skein cowl is a great project to give yourself a new challenge. We will work on this cowl in class while discussing how to knit cables and read knitting charts. There’s still time to knit this before spring!
There is some pre-work for the class (listed below). If you’re unable to get the pre-work completed, or need help joining in the round, you can still practice the cables on a swatch in class.
- At least 390 yards fingering weight yarn (sample in Baah La Jolla, color Periwinkle)
- Needle: 24″ circular in size US 4
- Cable needle, no larger than 3.5mm
- 10 stitch markers (1 to mark the beginning of round, 4 to mark pattern repeats, and 5 to mark slipped stitches; ideally you’ll have 3 different types/colors)
Please purchase your supplies prior to coming to the first class. There is pre-work for this class.
Loosely cast on 225 stitches (long tail cast on should be fine for this) and then join in the round.
Round 1: *Knit 2, Purl 3, repeat from * to end of round.
Repeat this round 10 more times, for a total of 11 rounds.
You may register for classes in person or by calling the shop at (614) 734-0618 during regular business hours. We require that you make payment in full when you register.
