This class is specifically designed for the crocheter looking to improve their skills. Are you tired of knowing only the basic stitches and ready to move on to shaping and more complex patterns? Are you looking to learn more about fibers, gauge, patterns, and chart reading? If so, this is the class for you!
Successful students will have a good grasp on single, double, and half double crochet stitches. New concepts will be learned in class including: yarns and fiber content, the importance of making gauge swatches, increasing and decreasing within a pattern, reading written and charted patterns, and the important resources/tools needed for every crocheter. This class will prepare you for more complex projects and is a great stepping stone to our more advanced crochet class offerings.
New to this class, we will have an introduction to Amigurumi, the term for stuffed toys or dolls. Learn the skills you need to make these fun little projects!
Yarn is provided – you need to provide an H (5 mm) hook.
There is no prework for class, but there will be homework between the session, so please plan accordingly.
You may register for classes in person or by calling the shop at (614) 734-0618 during regular business hours. We require that you make payment in full when you register and that you purchase your supplies for our classes at Knitting Temptations.
