This class is specifically designed for the crocheter looking to improve their skills. Are you tired of knowing only the basic stitches and ready to move on to shaping and more complex patterns? Are you looking to learn more about fibers, gauge, patterns, and chart reading? If so, this is the class for you!
Successful students will have a good grasp of single, double, and half double crochet stitches. New concepts covered in class include:
- yarns and fiber content
- making gauge swatches
- increasing and decreasing within a pattern
- reading written and charted patterns
- resources/tools needed for every crocheter.
This class will prepare you for more complex projects and is a great stepping stone to our more advanced crochet class offerings.
We provide the yarn. Students need to bring/purchase a crochet hook size US H (5mm).
There is no pre-work for class, but there will be homework between the session, so please plan accordingly.
You may register for classes in person or by calling the shop at 614-734-0618 during regular business hours. We require that you make payment in full when you register and that you purchase your supplies for our classes at Knitting Temptations.
