Skill level: Easy/Intermediate Knit
Have you been thinking about learning Fair Isle knitting? This traditional knitting technique is used to create intricate-looking patterns with multiple colors. This beautiful cowl will introduce you to stranded knitting using two colors and help you to prepare for Janine Bajus’ Workshops at Knitting Temptations in October.
This class will focus on the basics of stranding knitting using two-hands and chart reading. Experience with knitting in the round is required.
Yarn: One skein each of two colors of Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend
Needle: 16″ circular in size US 7

Homework prior to first class:
Cast on 132 stitches using your background color. (In the sample pictured, brown is the background.) Join in the round and knit 2×2 (knit 2, purl 2) ribbing for 5 rounds.
