Enrelac with Kathie

Kathie Abke (our twined knitting teacher) will teach an Entrelac Workshop on Saturday, November 6 10:30 am -1:30 pm.  This class will teach you Entrelac techniques.  You can they apply these skills to any Entrelace project, such as a scarf, shawl or the Entrelac hat that was modeled at the Abstract Yarn Tasting last June.

The cost of the class is $45, plus materials to knit a headband.  Kathie is using Noro’s Cash Island which knits in an interesting colorway presentation.  However, you may use yarn from your stash, if you like.

Your project, a simple headband will make a great Holiday gift.  According to the FREE pattern QUANT on, you will need approximately 130 yds. of yarn that knits to 18 stitches/4 inches and size 8 needles.  The pattern suggests both straight and double points (for the I-cord).

Circular #8’s will work just fine, if that is what you have available and the double points will make knitting I-cord easier.  However, they are not necessary.

Please call Temptations today to reserve your spot in this exciting new class!!!
